Wheel Alignment / Geometry

Standard Wheel Alignment:

Wheel Alignment, Alignment refers to an adjustment of a vehicle’s suspension – the system that connects a vehicle to its turning wheels. It is not an adjustment of the tyres or actual wheels themselves.

The key to proper alignment is adjusting the angles of the tires which affects how they make contact with the road, this can include Toe angle, Thrust angle and Camber. Incorrectly set wheel alignment results in poor handling and un-even/excessive tyre wear.

Wheel alignment can be knocked out of factory specification by hitting potholes or kerbs, excessive tyre wear or worn suspension components. Wheel alignment will also need adjusting when replacing suspension components and/or dropping subframes.
